Chicago’s Wavefront Returns for Round 2: Ticket Info

Remember that time we saw Eric Prydz and Duck Sauce on the beach while the sun set in downtown Chicago? If you don’t, you probably need to get to Wavefront this summer; here’s the scoop.

Wavefront sprang up quickly last summer, and with headliners like Erick Morillo and Boys Noize (plus the aforementioned Pryda & Duck Sauce), it was easy for the first-time festival to sell itself. First year festivals are always fun to be apart of as organizers and attendees alike don’t know exactly what to expect and are feeling out the experience together. Big things though, are in the works for Wavefront 2.0, the most obvious being a third day has been added to the event. The Montrose Beach concert will also see more stages than last year, and hopefully a few more entrances (and a lot more beer tents) have been added to the expansion list as well! No word on an official lineup announcement yet, however Facebook does reveal that Chicago DJ, Special E.D. have declared themselves part of that list prematurely… SCORE!….?

No information has been released on how many folks attended the 2 day beach bash last year, but it appears organizers got hip to their competition: Electric Forest. Wavefront has adjusted its dates for 2013 to be the week after the Rothbury, Michigan camping festival – which this year may double in capacity – a smart move by Chicago producers.
