DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES: A Special Tiesto Album

By Caroline  //  News, Tracks  //  No Comments

The greatest global DJs team up with (RED) and Bono to create a compilation aimed at engaging and bringing awareness to the AIDS epidemic.

“When I went to Africa in 2006, I was struck by the devastating effect of AIDS. Now the world has an incredible chance to make sure that babies are born HIV free by 2015, and the dance community is going to make a lot of noise to help make this happen.” (Tiesto on the (RED) project)

World AIDS Day is December 1st and in tribute, one of our favorite people in the world, Tiesto, will stream his set live from Stereosonic in Australia. In addition the (RED) album will release for everyone to hear on November 27 right hurr.

To date, (RED) has generated more than $200 million for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, to support HIV/AIDS in Ghana, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland and Zambia. I absolutely love this quote from Deborah Dugan, CEO of (RED): “Tiësto represents a generation of young music fans with incredible passion and energy. We want to tap into that passion to help deliver an AIDS free generation by 2015; a monumentally important milestone in the fight against AIDS. What Tiësto and his friends in the dance music community are bringing to this fight is invaluable. They bring the kind of heat that is so desperately needed to keep this issue at the top of the agenda. This World AIDS Day, I want fans to buy the album and DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES!”

It’s no secret that dance music culture gets a bad rap, so it’s refreshing to hear someone’s positive take on the fiery passion that we possess as a community. The recognition of our energy for good use is really why I love this music. Speaking of community, the artists that came together on this project include Calvin Harris, Avicii and Diplo, Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Bingo Players, Hardwell, Tommy Trash, Martin Solveig and of course the exclusive collaboration we’re all excited to hear between Tiësto and Bono on U2’s Pride. So tune in December 1st and don’t forget to purchase the compilation on the 27th.

Together bots, our voices are loud..
Hand hugs.
